About Made in Z-A
These products are made by the Izimbali Group of women , a self-help initiative giving employment to women from SOWETO, South Africa
The scarves come with a matching flower brooch. Made in Z-A facilitates the initiative by suppling the fabric and designs to the women and co-ordinating the marketing and distribution both locally and internationaly. We are able to produce both small runs to customer specifications, as well as larger runs in a short lead time as the more orders we get the more women we employ.
Our market
The products have been marketed to several small boutique shops in Italy, France and Germany. We attend several retail trade shows in Europe such as the Artigianato shows in Milan and Florence. We supply a large mail order company called Felissimo in Japan. Locally the products are marketed to various small boutiques. We attend several trade shows and festivals in South Africa.
Our products
We specialise in fashion accesories such as scarves, flower brooches and cell phone pouches. All the products are hand made. The flower brooches are made from organzas, taffetas, silks and satins. Over a hundred different colours are used in their manufacturing. The scarves are made from a variety of fabrics according to customer specifiactions.
